Dr. John Selim has been practicing at the Dental Health Centre for over 20 years. Having graduated from McGill University on the Dean’s Honour List in 2002, Dr. Selim received the Dr. W.G. Leahy Prize for outstanding achievement in Clinical Dentistry. He relocated to Windsor from Montreal in 2003 to marry Dr. Monique Siara and he joined his late mother-in-law, Dr. Carmen Siara, one of the original partners, at the Dental Health Centre. Dr. Selim provides consultations in both English and French, providing clear communication and a friendly environment.
When Dr. Selim is not busy enhancing people’s smiles, he enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is an avid hockey fan who was involved with the coaching staff of his son Pierce’s minor hockey team for many years. He also enjoys golfing, skiing and his new passion, cooking with his outdoor smoker.
Dr. Angelo Sorge has been proudly serving the Windsor community as a dedicated general dentist since achieving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1998. Dr. Sorge is fluent in both English and Italian and has been serving the community for almost three decades, ensuring clear communication and a welcoming environment for all.
Dr. Sorge enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. He enjoys working out, watching football and hockey.
Dr. Jennifer Valente was born and raised in the Windsor area. She graduated with a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Windsor. She received her Dental degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1990. Dr. Valente started her practice with the Dental Health Centre group right after graduation and has now been serving the community for over 35 years. She is very proud to be working with her daughter, Dr. Lauren Valente since 2019.
Dr. Valente enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. She is avid reader and can also often be spotted hiking at Point Pelee.
Dr. Lauren Valente was born and raised in Tecumseh. She completed her Bachelors of Science at the University of Windsor in 2015 and graduated with honours from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 2019. She was excited to come back to Windsor to practice alongside her mother, Dr. Jennifer Valente. Dr. Lauren was a 2019 recipient of the Gordon Cressy Leadership Award and continues to be a leader in the dental community as the current Vice President of the Essex County Dental Society.
In her spare time, Dr. Lauren enjoys playing tennis, reading, and spending time with her dog, Winnie.
Dr. Carlita Macchiavello is a trusted dental professional serving the Windsor community with over two decades of experience in family and cosmetic dentistry. A graduate of the University of Toronto (Class of 1999), where she was honoured with the George Hare Endodontic Scholarship for excellence in clinical Endodontics. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Macchiavello ensures that every patient feels heard, respected, and cared for.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Macchiavello enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing piano, singing, swimming, walking her dog, and cheering on her beloved Detroit Lions.
Born and raised in South Windsor, Dr. Jaclyn Scurk is proud to be serving her community at the Dental Health Centre, balancing her passion for Dentistry and her beautiful young family. Dr. Scurk completed her Bachelors of Science at the University of Windsor and went on to graduate with honours from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 2018.
Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two adorable children, running, and walking her dog.
Dr. Philip Wojtasik (Dr. Phil) was born and raised in Toronto. After completing his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University, he ventured to Poland to explore his native land and culture. Growing up in a medical family, he naturally pursued studies in Dentistry and graduated from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in 2017 with distinction.
Outside of his busy professional life, Dr. Phil spends his free time raising two beautiful children with his wife. They frequently travel to Norway to visit in-laws and enjoy the outdoors. Dr. Phil has always been a fan of fitness and all types of music. He still finds the time to fiddle around on his guitar hoping to inspire his children to start a legendary rock band before they themselves realize that they should be dentists too!
Dr Norman Highton has been an innovative and dedicated Dental professional in the Windsor area for over 50 yrs. Born in Kenya, East Africa he graduated Dentistry from Newcastle University in Tyne, England. He did a residency in London, Ontario in the Oral Surgery department. In 1973/74 he moved to the Windsor area to practice at the Dental Health Centre. Dr Highton has extensive training and experience in Dental Implants.
In his free time, Dr. Highton enjoys photography.
Dr Laura Chano graduated from McGill University in 1997 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She then went on to study Periodontics at the University of Toronto and graduated in 2001 with a M.Sc. (Periodontics). She is also a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and cooking.
Christina Mallet graduated with honours from Denturism at George Brown College in 2011 and has been committed to providing compassionate, high-quality denture care ever since. She is a three -time Platinum Award recipient for Community Votes Windsor in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Outside the clinic, Christina enjoys reading, gaming, and spending time with friends and family.
